  • IRV was the first professional wrestling association in Germany, founded on 1911-07-22 by Heinrich Weber and Carl Jänecke. It controlled and sanctioned most of the wrestling shows in the old German territory, and the most of the wrestlers were IRV members.
  • On 1933-08-21, IRV was merged with other promotions: Deutscher Ringer Verband (founded in 1912) and Ringer-Union (1932) to form Verband Deutscher Berufsringer, later renamed Deutscher Ringkämpfer Verband in 1935.
