Jack Tunney dies at 68

Post by RoaringElbow25 » 2004/02/04 Wed 1:49 pm

He wasnt exactly a Legend but if you were paid attention to regional promotions in Canada, or watched the WWF at all from early 80's to the mid 90's you know who he was. says he passed away of an apparent heart attack on January 24, and the WWE is just now acknowledging it

Wow,
My condolences to the family and prayers all around. I remember one of the WWE promos for one of their PPV's Jack was trying to sing "America The Beautiful" and they cut him, it was hillarious.

Well, the great ring in the sky has a new on-screen president to conduct its affairs. RIP, Jack Tunney, join your brother Frank in the great ring up in the sky.

*** bless Jack Tunney, an on-screen non-wrestling authority figure who took a backseat to the in-ring performers. Wow, what a concept!

I believe Jack is Frank's newphew.

And while Jack played the role of figurehead WWF President on screen, he was legitimately the head of Titan Promotions, Inc. AKA "WWF Canada".
