In the On and Around the Mat World section of "The Ring's Wrestling Magazine" in the early 80's the would list each promotion by booking office/affliation, list the current champs and give some news. This comes from the Feb 1981 issue


Memphis Booking Office - AWA, CWA
World Brass Knucks HC - Don Fargo

I doubled checked in WTH and it mentions Fargo as the Brass Knuckles Champion in Memphis 2/79

I recall Crusher having the Brass Knuckles trophy also in 82? When he was feuding with Blackwell

This past weekend during an AWA New England/Milleniuem Wrestling Federation show in Lynn, MA, Gino Martino defeated Kamala to become the new AWA Brass Knuckles Champion. The title from what I understand was won by The Crusher in 1981 defeating Jerry Blackwell. Supposedly, in an angle, Ox Baker took the title from Crusher and has had it ever since.
