Recently The Wrestling Alliance, FWA, All Star, WAW, and Premiere Promotions held a tournament to crown a Universal British Champ - won by "The Anarchist" Doug Willaims...all the info is at <a href='http://www.thewrestlingalliance.co.uk' target='_blank'>www.thewrestlingalliance.co.uk</a> or at the FWA site or on <a href='http://www.prowrestlingnews.net' target='_blank'>www.prowrestlingnews.net</a>

This would be a good time to carry on with British Heavyweight title lineage as all the promotions were involved, and thus cant be disputed.

Doug Williams was, from what I understand, recognized by All-Star by British champ before the tournament, right? I emailed them and asked for the history of the title between Marty Jones and Williams. Do you have any histories from All-Star that are not on my website?

Doug was recognised as All Star British champion, but there champions change depending on who is on there tour. The previous tour "Tatanka" Chris Chavis was Heavyweight champion.

Following Marty Jones' retirement the only UK orgainisation that recognised the original lineage was The Wrestling Alliance, of which the info is on their site. TWA recognised Drew McDonald as Champ as he was number 1 contender at the time, butit wasnt till around January 2000 that he started to defend the title on a regular basis, both on TWA and All star shows, but again All Star chaned tehre Champions with there venues, and soon got a reputation for haveing titles taht meant nothing, thats why tehy wanted in on the tournamnet - as it now gives them a credible champion for the first time since Jones retired.

What about the All-Star titles in other divisions? Were they in the same state (meaningless, worthless, whatever)?

More or less really, although again everyone recognises Sweet Saraya as Universal British Ladies Champ now, and Jonny storm defends the British welterweight title all over the UK in a number of promotions, as is Mal Sanders' British Middleweight title.

The other titles are really organisation based.
