Jack BriscoHow is Jack Brisco regarded in Japan and worldwide? What were some of his best matches and how is he compared to people like Dory Funk Jr. and the Destroyer?
Brisco was very well respected in Japan. However, both Dory and Destroyer spent a lot more time in Japan Brisco ever did, and Brisco can no way be compared with them. I'm not sure which ones Brisco's "good" matches in Japan are, but famous ones are:
Inoki's NWA United National title defense in JWA Baba's NWA World title win for the first time Inoki's NWF title defense in New Japan .....Brisco lost in all these matches. I'll ask other Japanese fans for better answer(s). Hisaharu Tanabe, webservant

Here're some more matches that were said to be good. I haven't watched them, though.
Brisco vs. Dory Funk Jr. 74/01/27 Osaka (All Japan) Brisco vs. Tatsumi Fujinami Apr or May, '79 (New Japan) Brisco & Stan Hansen vs. Antonio Inoki & Seiji Sakaguchi Apr or May, '79 (New Japan) Hisaharu Tanabe, webservant

Thanks for the info Hisa I've seen very good reviews for the Dory Funk Jr match. Just as a follow up question who apart from the Funks and the Destroyer were the best regarded Gaijin from that era say 60's to 70's?
Abdullah the Butcher and Mil Mascaras quickly come to mind. You didn't have to be a wrestling fan to know who they were.
