Found this on Andreas Matlé's "Catch-Journal", March 1980:
"Roland Bock, world-champion (VDB-version), is returned home after a stay for one month in hospital. One week after his fight vs Andre the Giant in Sindelfingen (December 1979), Roland was dangerously hospitalized because some veins in Roland's thighs bursted during this fight."
