My favs are Dynamite Kid, Bruiser Brody, Gary Albright and The Road Warriors. My question is, techinically, wouldnt Rikidozan be considered a Gaijin because he was Korean, or does his status in puro place him above the technicality?
Oh...and Abdullah, of course. Flabby Abby is the man. Abba-Zabba....you my only friend! - Thurgood Jenkins

His real identity was kept secret for many years even after his death. It was always believed he was from Japan. So he always worked as a native and not as a gaijin.
yea, I knew all of that, I'm just the guy who has to question everything and get into semantics. Bad habbit. I'm just wondering that even after it was revealed he was a Korean, would that technically make this out to be gaijin, or does his status outweigh the technicality?

I think a combination of what I said earlier and his status.
Never met or heard of any Japanese who consider him as a gaijin. In fact, there are lots of people in Japan who don't follow puroresu and still don't know Rikidozan was from Korea.

Stan Hansen, Dr. Death, Abdullah, Bruiser Brody, Dynamite Kid, Gadiator Mike Awesome, Cactus Jack, and Vader are all great. I didn't mention Blassie, Thesz, Gordy, among others because I haven't seen any of their stuff. Can someone tell me about Terry Gordy and what made him so great?
All of them have been mentioned several times, so I won't mention them again... But I would like to add Dr. Wagner Jr.
When did Norton start working for NJPW?
Is this his first time in Japan? <b><span style='color:Black'><span style='font-size:9pt;line-height:100%'><span style='font-family:Verdana'>BOO!</span></span></span></b>
I would have to say my favorite gaijin was Dynamite Kid. I watch his and Sayama's matches to this day.
Also while not very prominent in his stay Lionheart (Chris Jericho) did pretty well for himself. And lastly I must say I'm surprised at how well American Dragon and Christopher Daniels (Curry Man) are doing for themselves in New Japan. I mean IWGP Junior Tag champs? I know both of these wrestlers are great and all their success in the states is expected BUT MAN, I did not expect them to become champs. I thought Curry Man wouldn't even get out of MPro. But I am certainly glad he did. What's better than a dead baby?

I believe in the early 90's Norton started working for NJPW... I could be wrong though...

Before the tragedy of his demons, Gordy was an extemely gifted worker. He was a big man who could move very well, had a very credible looking offense and could seel his butt off. Because of all this he could draw very well as a gaijin. Get some of his bouts and you will not be disapponited! FAITH in HIM is the refusal to panic.

Did Gordy use Free Bird as his theme in Japan????

No, I can't say with complete certainty, but any footage I saw of Bamm Bamm, he was never donning any of the Freebird gimmick.
