I'm sorry Dan but at one time the NWA World title was known to be exclusively at WCW so therefore a lot of the people in the industry refered it to the NWA/WCW Title.
And those people who still do so today are emphatically wrong
And also the Bolsheviks got their start in the old WCW before they got into the Capital City Wrestling/WWWF/WWF/WWE.
Both Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov worked for Jim Crockett Promotions, Inc. (the predecessor company to World Championship Wrestling, Inc.) in the past, but they never teamed there together as "The Bolsheviks". And they certainly never held the "NWA" World tag team titles. As stated, those were the Koloffs.
How many people can you name that knows the Original name of the WWE? [/QUOTE]
The original name of the business entity currently known as World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (formerly World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc.) was Titan Sports, Inc. It was incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1987.
Prior to that, the "WWF" operated under a different business entity called Titan Sports, Inc. which was incorporated in Massachusetts in 1980. It was legally merged into the Delaware incarnation of Titan in 1988.
However, the very first entity to do business as the "World Wrestling Federation" (previously the "World Wide Wrestling Federation") was Capitol Wrestling Corporation, which was incorporated in the District of Columbia. It was owned principally by Vincent James McMahon, with minority shareholders being Robert Marella (Gorilla Monsoon), Phil Zacko (who was the promoter in Philadelphia), and Arnold Skaaland, at the time it was bought out by Titan Sports, Inc. (Massachusetts entity) around 1982 or 83.
