How is Jack Brisco regarded in Japan and worldwide? What were some of his best matches and how is he compared to people like Dory Funk Jr. and the Destroyer?

Rosters for 70's and 80's AJPW

Is there a resourse for finding the rosters
for 70's and 80's in AJPW. I have noticed alot
of geijin wrestlers but except for Baba, jumbo
choychu and a cpl of others it seemed to be mostly imported workers from the U.S. Any help would be appriciated.

European World Mddleweight Title NOT!!!

O.K. I train at Aspull Olympic Wrestling Club which is the offspring club of the Snake Pit. My trainer Roy Wood was trained by the man himseld Billy Riley and after a great competition in Scotland, we were talking about Billy on the way back. I was impressing with my knowlege of the titles that Billy had won and Roy told me something that will change the history of this belt. Billy NEVER lost the ...

posting polls

There have been many polls on "best champs" recently. Those polls usually have not much to do with championship lineages but rather about the wrestlers. Besides, most of those polls don't even include the significant champs from the pre-Hulkamania era. I moved those polls to "Everything else" for now, but please also remember that polls are not allowed in "Everything else".

This means that there wouldn't be many polls that would fit this "Pro-Wrestling Title ...

NWA-WCW Tag Team titles

I know the NWA relaunched the titles in 92 but when did the old NWA tga titles become the WCW ones? When the name changed? If so does the WCW tag titles last worn by the Dudley's connect to the NWA World Tag Titles of the 80's etc...Was it just the same title and lineage with a name change and then the old name was relaunched as new titles with the old name?

Question for Hisa about Raw World title

I noticed that you haven't added the Raw World title to the WWE section of the title history page. What's up?

WWF Title change date confusion...?

I was looking up results on and found this:

Royal Rumble 1997
January 21, 1997 in San Antonio, TX

NOTE the date.

One of the results on that card was:

Shawn Michaels pinned Sycho Sid (13:49) to win the WWF World Title.

HOWEVER In Wrestling Title Histories and on this site, I have seen the change date as 19/01/1997 in San Antonio, TX

Which is the correct date?

Korean Titles

My question is this:

On Hisa's title page, there's a South Korea section, and I'm just curious to the origins of Korean puroresu, and how far it got. I'm assuming that Kintaro Ohki promoted cards there (hence his Korean group being on the NWA membership roster at one time); did he trai wrestlers? And what happened to Korean puroresu when Ohki retired? Did it just die out?

I know this site deals with puroresu, Japanese ...

Question about New Japan Dojo in the Showa Days

Another thread on this forum mentioned how Gran Hamada and Mr. Pogo were the first graduates of New Japan's dojo. My question is, who exactly worked as trainers for New Japan in this period? Did some trainers jump ship from the JWA along with Inoki, Fujinami and Kido?
