Vader vs. Inoki.... utter confusion.

I was always led to believe, from copious Internet reports, that during his New Japan debut match, Vader defeated Inoki in under three minutes.

So I finally got to see a match from that time period. It is definitely Vader and Inoki. I was informed it was their 12/27/87 encounter. According to purodvd.com who sells the event (see screenshot here), I do indeed have the right match (you can see screens from the ...

Con Balassis

Con Balassis was a heavyweight wrestler in the UK during the 1940s and 50s. Sometimes wore a mask and called himself Red Shadow. He was supposed to be from Australia, but in all honesty was just as likely to be from Blackpool. Anyone have any knowledge of him?

Inoki comp from goldenboytapes

I was wondering if anyone has purchased the Best of Inoki compilation tape series from goldenboytapes.com. I would like anyone whose purchased it or has seen a lot of the matches on it to review it for me and others who have not seen much of Inoki, and were interested in the comp.

Some IWA Title help needed

Looking at your site here for the IWA (IWE) title I see this:

Superstar Billy Graham 74/08/16 Denver, CO
Mighty Inoue 74/10/07 Saitama

How did the site come up with the city, that I see this everywhere on the net?

I have this for my record book of Billy. Granted I know this tour is not complete as I am missing a few dates. But my question is on the city itself for the title ...

Fujinami vs Maeda

I saw this match last week. It was one of the best I've ever seen. Not sure of the exact date, but it was great.

Note From Inoki vs. Dory

Sadly, my tape doesn't have the date of the match, but it was 2/3 falls for the NWA Title if that helps. At one point in the match Inoki rolls out of the ring. Terry Funk runs up to him and screams "You coward! You coward! Get your *** back in the ring you egg sucking dog!" The announcer translated this as "Please hurry back to the ring, Mr. Inoki," which to me doesn't really ...

Leo Demetral

On 23rd February, 1940, Leo Demetral unsuccessfully challenged George Pencheff for the Australian Heavyweight title in Albury. In 1955 a wrestler of the same name wrestled in England. Does anyone know if they were the same person? Does anyone have any information about him?
