question about Muldoon and Sullivan

Since it first became a point of study for me fifteen years ago, wrestling history has always fascinated me. The answer to one question in particular has always eluded me, and this seems like the perfect place to get it sorted out.

Regarding the relationship between William Muldoon and John L Sullivan...does anyone here happen to have info to share regarding their alleged mixed match of 1887? Did such a match occur at all outside ...

Mr. Hito (1942 - 2010)

Katsuji Adachi, who is probably most known for his run in Calgary as Mr. Hito, passed away on 2010/04/21 at the age of 67 at a hospital in Osaka. He had been suffering diabetes for several years.

Gene Kiniski (1928 - 2010)

Former NWA & AWA world champion Gene Kiniski passed away this morning at the age of 81.

He had been battling cancer for years and was hospitalized due to heart failure earlier this year.

Jack Brisco (1941 - 2010)

Former world heavyweight champion Jack Brisco passed away on 2010/02/01 at the age of 68.

In Japan, he is most rememberd as the world champion whom Giant Baba defeated to become the first Asian to hold the prestigeous title.

Takashi Matsunaga (1936 - 2009)

Takashi Matsunaga, the founder and former chairman of All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, passed away on 2009/07/11 due to pneumonia at the age of 73.

He is one of those who should be included in any "hall of fame" of pro-wrestling.

Ted Tanabe (1962 - 2009)

Just the day after Mitsuharu Misawa died, Tetsuo "Ted" Tanabe passed out after an Osaka Pro card. He remained to be unconscious at hospital and passed away at 12:23pm on 2009/06/15.

Tanabe (no relation to me, by the way) debuted as a referee in 1987 with the old Japan Women's Pro Wrestling. When Gran Hamada and he Shinmas started the Universal Pro-Wrestling, the first "lucharesu" organization, in 1990, Tanabe joined them. Between 1992 and 2006, ...
