Masa SaitoI am having a hard time trying to find information about Masa Saito.....can anyone help?
He is a former WWF tag champion along with mr Fuji, His nocknamr is "Mr. Torture" He is also know as somebody who kept the other wrestlrts on line in the locker room. He also did time in michigan i think for throwing a large rock through a McDonalds and then resisting arrest.
Not much but i hope it's a help
The only thing I can vaguly remember about Saito is seeing him in the AWA growing up. Man I miss the good old days. Saturday morning had AWA on at like 10, NWA at 11, and WWF at noon. Sigh...
Did some more research on Saito.
He was involved in the "Island Death Match" with antonio inoki. They had been feuding for a while and decided to settle the score with a ring set up on some island somewhere with no fans or referees. No official winner but Inoki left Saito unconcious on the ground. As for Saito's titles I would suggest you go to the Title Histories section of this site, Hisa probably has listed pretty much all of his major titles *cough*cheapplug*cough* I also believe that he was a stockholder for New Japan for many years, but I'm not entirely sure about that. (once again i ask that somebody responds so that i'll know if i read right) He competed in the Olympics as well. I'll post mose when I find more stuff
didn't Saito team up with Jesse Ventura for awhile back in AWA?
"I love the Power Glove, It's so bad..."

Thanks, Hisa. I had been wondering what had happened to Honaga.

The jail time was in Wisconsin. Masa and Ken Patera came to a McDonald's just after it closed. They were hungry. They weren't real happy when refused service especially since they could see racks of hamburgers about to be thrown out. They heaved an 80-pound boulder through the window and returned to the Holiday Inn next door where they were staying. The cops came there. Before it was over it took 13 cops to arrest them and 9 of the cops had to be hospitalized. Kinda sounds to me like Saito did most of the fighting. The police spokesman said 'we maced the Japanese guy but it just seemed to make him angry' and 'we had to use two sets of handcuffs on the Japanese guy, his wrists were too big for one.' They did two years. I hear Saito did harder time than Patera too.
Saito remains one of the best wrestlers I ever saw. I think he got to show more of his ability in Florida than anywhere else in the States. So long from the Sunshine State!
