Not quite sure where to post this, being that the title was apparently first NWA, then WWF, but this seems as good of a place as any...

I notice on the title histories here quite a handful of title changes from the time Moolah first won to when Wendy Richter won it...yet the PWI almanac lists Moolah as having a 27-year uninterrupted run, and I'm also pretty sure I've heard comments on WWE TV to the same effect....just another attempt at revisionist history, I suppose?

Yeah, the story about her reign being completely uninterupted is all a work/revisionist history

Btw, it should also be noted that the Women's title was never officially sanctioned by the NWA either. It was Moolah's own personal property (which explains why she held it for so long) before she sold the rights to it to Vince in 1983.

Well, she did hold it for most of the period 1956-1983, when she sold the title and the tag titles to Vince. She still held the title 2 or 3 times after she sold the belts.
