Hackenschmidt was really recognized in Europe since April 1900? That is new for me, because he does not win any World Championship Tournament in April 1900 or in 1900, that he had won a recognition. 1900 there were held up five Tournaments as World Greco-Roman Championship. Elberfield and Berlin had no World Greco-Roman Tournaments in 1901. 1901 there were held up three Tournaments in Europe as World Greco-Roman Tournament.

1901 - Hamburg (01.1901)
1901 - Vienna (04.-05.1901)
1901 - Paris (11.-12.1901)

The tournaments in Elberfield and Berlin was a regional Championship and the Vienna World Greco Roman Tournament was held up from April until 05. May 1901. On 05. May 1901, at the final day, Hackenschmidt beat Halil Adali and won the tournament. He beat Constant le Boucher in December 1901 and won the Paris Tournament, but not the Hamburg Tournament.

The Hamburg Tournament has no Winner in the Heavyweight Division. That was cancelled, but a winner in the light heavyweight division: Georg Lurich. Lurich was the only winner.

The Tournament in Vienna starts on 07. April until 05. May and not in November 1901. So Hackenschmidt has won two World Greco-Roman Tournaments in 1901:

To be honest, I don't remember where I get this. Probably the 3rd edition of "Wrestling Title Histories".

Again, not sure where I got "1901", but I got the cities from the 4th edition of "Wrestling Title Histories".
